Idearum at Game Conferences: Big Indie Fest@ ReVersed and SGC 2018

Idearum had a busy summer and autumn! Three Tahutahu Studio members (Andrea, Daniela and me) participated in the Big Indie Fest @ReVersed in Vienna in July (5th - 8th) and also the Sweden Game Conference in Skovde in October!

Big Indie Fest was fun. It was my first game conference ever and I enjoyed meeting other indie game devs, as well as industry professionals and even my former classmate from uni, who has been working at Attentat 1942. Among exhibitors were also guys from AI Interactive developing The Enchanted World whom we know from the 3rd edition of Stugan. I played very interesting and heavy games, such as My Child Lebensborn and also relaxing fun games, such as The Tower of Egbert

We even had a journalist from ORF Radio FM4 interviewing us for their Morning Show about Idearum! You can listen to the interview here

Fast-forward to October the 17th! We arrived to Skovde in Sweden for SGC 2018. Part of the event was an expo called IndieCator, where we were exhibiting Idearum. We met fellow indie game developers (among them one of our mentors from Stugan), journalists, organizers, students and on Saturday, when the expo was open for public, also with many children and their parents.

A bit cold but happy.

Without playtesters, we would not be moving forward!

We even got fortunate enough to bring home an award! (Although technically, Idearum´s home is currently spread over three countries: Spain, Czech Republic and the U.S.) Back to the good news:
Indie Games + selected Idearum as one of the Top 5 Games of the SGC 2018. We feel very honored! Here you can read how Joel Couture, a journalist of Indie Games +, felt as he was playing our game :)
